Kick your tires....wirelessly

Bridgestone is about to release a tire pressure monitoring system that uses wireless sensors embedded under the tire rim to send tire pressure and temperature to a handheld device. If tire pressure is too low or too high, an alarm will sound. From the TGDaily.com blog: "According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, tire blowouts caused by under/ over - inflated tires contribute to approximately 414 deaths and 10,275 non-fatal injuries each year."
